Expertise and Advanced Surgical Training

Jamie obtained his medical degree from Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ Medical School, London, where he also earned a degree in Psychology. He completed his higher surgical training in the Midlands, gaining extensive experience in breast cancer surgery and reconstructive breast surgery.

To further refine his expertise, Jamie was selected for a prestigious national fellowship in oncoplastic breast surgery, an opportunity awarded to only a handful of breast and plastic surgeons each year. He undertook this advanced training at the renowned Leeds Breast Unit, one of the leading centres for breast cancer treatment in the UK.

During this fellowship, Jamie developed a particular interest in breast-implant associated anaplastic large cell lymphoma (BIA-ALCL), a rare immune system cancer linked to breast implants. His in-depth understanding of this condition allows him to offer specialist diagnosis and treatment for patients concerned about breast implant complications.

Current NHS and Private Practice

Jamie’s NHS practice is based at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, one of the largest breast surgery departments in the UK. He works alongside a multi-disciplinary team of oncologists, radiologists, and breast care nurses to provide a comprehensive breast cancer treatment service.

In addition to his NHS work, Jamie sees private patients at:

  • HCA The Harborne Hospital, Birmingham
  • The Priory Hospital, Birmingham

He provides private consultations and surgical treatment for breast cancer, benign breast conditions, and breast reconstruction in a specialist private hospital setting.
