Dr Sundus Yahya is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist specialising in breast cancer treatment. Dr Yahya completed her medical training in the Mersey and North West region, followed by specialist clinical oncology training in the West Midlands. During her training, she obtained a Master’s in Clinical Oncology from the University of Birmingham, further advancing her expertise in cancer treatment. She was also awarded the prestigious RCR Cyclotron Fellowship in 2016, which allowed her to train in Proton Therapy at the University of Florida Health Proton Therapy Institute, where she gained valuable experience in cutting-edge radiation therapies.
Dr Yahya currently holds a substantive post at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, University Hospitals Birmingham, where she serves as a Consultant Clinical Oncologist. Dr Yahya’s contributions to cancer services have been substantial, including her role as the M&M Lead for cancer services from March 2019 to December 2020.
